Sylvia Smoller is the principal investigator in the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI). The WHI is a multi-center, multi-part national study of the major causes of morbidity and mortality in older women. Dr. Smoller is also professor and head of the Division of Epidemiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and wrote “Biostatistics and Epidemiology, a Primer for Health and Biomedical Professionals.”
