John Oates is a musician and producer. He is best known as half of successful duo Hall & Oates.

In 1985, he produced the album “Small Victories” by Canadian pop group Parachute Club. He also duetted with lead singer Lorraine Segato on their single “Love is Fire”. He co-wrote “Electric Blue”, a hit single by Icehouse, with Iva Davies. Hall & Oates’s notable releases include “Abandoned Luncheonette”, “Voices”, “Private Eyes”, “H2O”, “Rock ‘n Soul Part 1”, “Big Bam Boom”, and “Ooh Yeah!”, all of which have sold more than 1 million copies each. Despite 30 years as a chart-topping performer and sought after producer, he did not release a solo album until 2002’s “Phunk Shui”.
