Brian Bennett is an American journalist, currently serving as a “Time” magazine correspondent based in Washington, D.C. He writes stories about national security and legal issues, covering the FBI, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. His current coverage ranges from immigration and border security to ongoing terrorism investigations. Before coming to Washington, he spent over a year in Iraq as Time?s Baghdad Bureau Chief, coordinating the magazine’s award-winning coverage of the tumultuous events surrounding the occupation. He regularly returns to Iraq for the magazine.
