Robert “Bob” Charles Bryan is an American professional tennis player.
He played for Stanford University in 1997 and 1998, where he helped the Cardinal win back-to-back NCAA team championships. In 1998, he won the ‘Triple Crown’ by taking the NCAA singles, doubles (with his twin brother Mike) and team titles.
He and his twin brother have won 25 titles, including four Grand Slam titles. In 2005, he and Mike made it to the finals of all the 4 Grand Slam tournaments, only the second time such a feat has been achieved in the Open era. In 2006, the Bryan brothers won Wimbledon and the Australian Open and achieved a career grand slam. They repeated their Australian Open victory in 2007. The Bryan Brothers are currently seeded #1 in the ATP. Twice they were the No. 1 team at the end of a season; in 2004 and 2005.
