Drew Blythe Barrymore is an American actress and film producer. Barrymore made her screen début in “Altered States” (1980), her breakout role came two years later in “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” as Gertie, which brought the then young actress widespread attention, and she quickly became one of the most recognized child actresses.
In the late-1980s and early-1990s, Barrymore began to perform predominantly in leading roles in a variety of films, ranging from big budget romantic comedies, such as “50 First Dates” and dramas to science fiction, like “Titan A.E.” and action thrillers like “Charlie?s Angels”. Barrymore has an iconic image as one of the world’s most recognized celebrities, and has a worldwide box office gross that stands at over $2.3 billion.
