John Fleetwood McWethy is an American broadcast journalist. He was a correspondent for ABC News 1979-2003 (National Security Correspondent 1985-2003).
As an ABC correspondent, McWethy covered military, terrorism, diplomacy and intelligence.
McWethy was the White House correspondent for “U.S. News & World Report” 1977-79; “Science Editor” 1972-77. He is the winner of five Emmy awards, one Dupont, one Overseas Press Club Award.
McWethy retired from ABC News in July 2003.
