Dr. Yossef (“Yossi”) Beilin is a leftist Israeli politician, Knesset member, and a former deputy foreign minister and justice minister within the Israeli Labour Party. He is currently chairman of Meretz-Yachad. He is best known for his involvement with the Oslo accords, the Geneva Accord and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process in general. His signed expositions on Israeli political and social current events are frequently carried in the Israeli left of center daily newspaper “Haaretz”.
