Louis Aronne is an American physician and an expert in the causes and treatments of obesity. He is a board member of the American Obresity Association and past president of NAASO, The Obesity Society. He authored numerous articles the use of drugs to treat obesity. Along with evaluating obesity drugs in the pipeline and the “off-label” use of several other drugs, Aronne has studied in detail the use of sibutramine, Orlistat, and phentermine as treatments of obesity.
