Peter M. Robinson is an author, television host and former speechwriter for George Bush and Ronald Reagan. He is known as the author of the Berlin Wall address, delivered by Reagan at the Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin, West Germany on June 12, 1987, with its famous phrase, ” Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”
Robinson authored more than 300 speeches during his six-year tenure at the White House. He also served as press secretary to the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission and was a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford’s public policy research center. In addition to writing about business and politics, Robinson also edits the Hoover Digest and hosts a PBS public affairs television program “Uncommon Knowledge”. He has written the books “How Ronald Reagan Changed My Life” and “It’s My Party”, a study of the US Republican Party.
