Robert Greenwald is an American film director and political activist.

Greenwald is often described as progressive or left-wing and is closely aligned with Moveon.org. In his documentaries he has tackled some of the biggest subjects of the day, including the war in Iraq. His most famous film is “Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism.” His previous films include “Steal This Movie”, about Abbie Hoffman.

In November 2004, he co-founded Brave New Films, and since May 2005 has been a contributing blogger at The Huffington Post.
