Hal Evan Sutton is an American golfer. He was captain of the 2004 American Ryder Cup team, and named “GOLF magazine’s” 1980 College Player of the Year. He won the PGA Championship in 1983. He has featured in the top 5 of the Official World Golf Rankings.

After playing on four U.S. Ryder Cup teams, he was named non-playing captain of the team for 2004. He has won numerous awards throughout his career, including a Bell Canadian Open and a Shell Houston Open.
