Ahmet Ertegun (July 31, 1923 - December 14, 2006) was a Turkish-American executive of Atlantic Records and co-founder of the New York Cosmos soccer team of the North American Soccer League. He was instrumental in bringing soccer legends like Pelé, Carlos Alberto and Franz Beckenbauer to the club.

While Ertegun?s primary interest was jazz, he was instrumental in bringing Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones to the Atlantic label, and he convinced Crosby, Stills and Nash to let Neil Young tour with them, ultimately forming Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. In 1987, Ertegun was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which he founded. For his contribution to soccer, he was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2003.
