Claudia Wallis is editor-at-large at “Time” magazine. She has been both a writer and editor specializing in stories about health and science, women’s and children’s issues, education and lifestyle. She was the founding editor of ‘Time for Kids’, which debuted in September of 1995 and now has a circulation of over 4 million. She is also responsible for editing ‘Time’s‘ bonus Connections section for women subscribers, as well as a broad range of other projects.

She began at ‘Time’ as a writer in 1979, and served as its medical writer from 1982 through 1987. In 1987, she became the third woman in the magazine’s history to be named a senior editor. Wallis served as managing editor of TFK from 1995 through May 2003.

Wallis has written more than 20 cover stories for “Time”.

Wallis graduated Yale University in 1976, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in philosophy.
