Mahmood Mamdani is an author, known for his work on politics and culture. His books include “Citizen and Subject: Contemporary Africa and the Legacy of Late Colonialism”, “Good Muslim, Bad Muslim: America, the Cold War and the Roots of Terror”, and “When Victims Become Killers: Colonialism, Nativism and Genocide in Rwanda”. He has done extended research in South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Nigeria and Sudan.
