Daniel Klaidman is an American journalist and author. He was named Managing Editor of ?Newsweek? in October 2006, after serving four months as an assistant managing editor. He is involved in the day-to-day editorial coverage of the magazine and oversees and assigns stories to reporters worldwide.
Previously, Klaidman served as Washington Bureau Chief since October 2000, where he managed the running of the bureau and its staff. He has also directed the Washington coverage of the war in Iraq and co-authored several stories on Al Qaeda’s resurgence within the U.S.
