Peter Elkind is a Dallas-based senior writer for ‘Fortune’ magazine best known for his documentary with Bethany McLean ‘Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room’. Before moving to ‘Fortune’ in November 1997, Elkind was editor of the ‘Dallas Observer’, which was a Pulitzer Prize finalist while he was there. Elkind was also on the staff of ‘Texas Monthly’ for eight years. He won an Investigative Reporters and Editors award and a Texas Medical Association Award.
