Richard M. Roberts is a prosecutor in Essex County. Roberts joined the Essex County prosecutor?s office as a detective in 1963. In 1971, after earning a law degree from Seton Hall University, he became a prosecutor, and two years later, he was asked to lead the office?s special narcotics squad.
