Pierre Boulez is a French composer and conductor of contemporary classical music. Boulez is one of the leaders of the post-World War II musical modernism. From 1976-1995, Boulez held the Chair in “Invention, technique et langage en musique” at the prestigious Collège de France. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious Glenn Gould Prize for his contributions. Boulez is also a prolific writer on music.
