Jennifer Connelly is an Academy Award-winning American film actress and former child model. As a teen she appeared in the films”Labyrinth” and “Career Opportunities”. She received wide exposure for her work in 2000 for the drama “Requiem for a Dream”, and “A Beautiful Mind”, for which she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Connelly has also appeared in smaller but well-regarded films, such as “Inventing the Abbotts” and “Waking the Dead” and in John Singleton’s “Higher Learning”. Connelly revisited her ingenue image, for the 2000 Jackson Pollock biopic “Pollock”, in which she played Pollock’s mistress. In 2006, she played a journalist in “Blood Diamond” opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.
